As we state in our recent Mortgage Insight report, Lenders are taking longer to process mortgage applications – thanks in part to the Coronavirus.

A combination of pent-up demand, changes in criteria and a lack of scheduled visits by surveyors means that it is taking far longer to process mortgages than before the Pandemic struck.
