Rents to high for increasing numbers of people in the UK
15 July, 2013
According to a new report, private rents are now to high for one third of low income families in the UK.
The survey by the Resolution Foundation found that the problem was particularly acute in the South East of England and London.
In fact a BBC housing calculator has also identified how renting a modest two-bedroom home for less than £700 a month is almost impossible in London and much of the South East. Modest is defined as having a rent below 75% of similar properties in the area.
